The quote from the roofing company for your new roof will almost assuredly be missing important items.
Again, as verbal statements are not worth the paper they are printed on, all needed details need to be stated clearly on the quote and the contract for complete clarity and no assumptions.
As mentioned previous, I recommend to NOT discuss all of the items to consider before you get the quote.
Require all quotes and contracts to be clearly typed, NO handwritten information. No crossed out lines with hand written modifications. Each document is always a clean presentation.
Work your way through the list of recommended items to include in the Quote and Contract, as per directed in the article titled: “RECONCILING YOUR ROOFING QUOTE TO INCLUDE ALL NEEDED ITEMS”. (Read this article for in depth information!)
Once you have all the items you deem important in the quote, you can evaluate each company on how they handled the process of adding each item. There shouldn’t be any push back regarding doing work PROPERLY.
NEXT: Determine if any work will be done at this time.
